Abstract

High temperature compression creep test have been carried out in samples of yttria 2.7 mol % partially stabilized zirconia (Y-TZP) with different grain sizes to study the influence of this parameter in the deformation processes. To achieve this objective, it has been compared tests carried out in samples with grain sizes in the nanometer range (d ≈ 120 nm) and conventional polycrystals (d ≈ 0.3 µm) with the same composition and deformed under identical test conditions of stress and temperature.
