The frequency response over time was obtained for each concentration, showing a defined exponential behavior at higher concentrations (1×10<sup>−1</sup>, 1×10<sup>−2</sup> and 1×10<sup>−3</sup> M), which was fitted to the Langmuir adsorption isotherm with a good correlation coefficients (<em>R<sup>2</sup></em>=0.91 to 0.98). Surface coverage (<em>θ</em>) was calculated and found to be in the order of 0.50 to 0.01 for 2-MBT high concentrations. The free energy of adsorption was <em>ΔG<sub>ads</sub></em>=−5.59 kJ mol−1, corresponding to physisorption process, probably of electrostatic nature of the interaction between 2-MBT and copper surface in aqueous solution.}, number={1}, journal={Revista de Metalurgia}, author={Ramírez-Cano, Jorge A. and Veleva, Lucien}, year={2016}, month={Mar.}, pages={e064} }
