The explosive welding is one of the newest methods of Aluminum base composite productions. In this study, aluminum plates were reinforced with steel wires through the explosive welding. Using the numerical simulation and the weldability window of the appropriate parameters were determined. Verification of the results was done using experimental data. Samples were evaluated by a light microscope. The metallography results showed that the composite obtained excellent bonding quality of the interface with no crack.
