The mechanical properties at room and low temperature of MA956 alloy in some stages of their processing route are evaluated. In this study the influence of crystallographic orientation on plastic deformation and brittle fracture, strongly anisotropic phenomena, is also considered. It is concluded that even though MA956 alloy was designated for high temperature applications it could be also used for cryogenic temperatures applications.
