Abstract

Flying ashes captured by ciclones in the experimental plant for combustion in pressure fluid bed, in Escatrón Power Plant (Zaragoza, Spain), circulate through the gas cleaning system and are evacuated by means of pneumatic transport. The temperature of these ashes is aprox. 800 °C and the relative pressure is up to 8 negative bars relating the outdoor pressure of the transport pipe. The configuration of the pneumatic transport lines is Incolloy 800 HT quality composite tubes lined with Stal 2465 in straight stretches. Regarding direction changes, ferritic stainless casting, quality GX 260 Cr 27 elbows are used. The aim of this work is to study the possibility of manufacturing a solidary system by means of melting between the ferritic stainless casting elbow and the composite pipe.
