Since the introduction of the new processes for gold refining, based in gold mud leach or solvent extraction circuits, the recovery of this precious metal remained unaltered for cióse to a century. The present work discussed the classical procedures together with the newer proposals in which the main objective is the obtention of free gold soltitions which facilitated its ulterior treatment.
