The granulation process of the ore mixture is described and the fitness for granulation of several iron ores form part of the mixture is studied. With a good granulation and sintering maximum temperature control is possible to achieve the best sintered structure, forming by a hematite nucleous bonded by acicular ferrites. The industrial experience of several types of granulation is described.
