In a combustion chamber which simulates the conditions of the blast furnace tuyeres zone, the combustion of tinnol and mixtures of tinnol with other waste oils, is studied. During combustion the temperatures and the O2, CO, CO2, N2 and H2 contents of the gases are constantly recorded and the efficiency of combustion is determined. The waste oil combustion and its energy contribution to the process are considered to be effective.
