Since 1998 Revista de Metalurgia and Revista Soldadura merged into a single publication conserving the name of the first one, but also including welding and cutting topics.

Revista de Metalurgia mainly gathers work on the process of obtaining, producing, transforming and recycling metals and alloys, their properties and technological characteristics and the various applications of those materials.

Revista de Metalurgia is included since 1997 in the ISI's Journal of Citation Reports (JCR) Science Edition, and in SCOPUS.
